I've used it every day for six years.
Only after you've survived a few Indian monsoons do you realise how much a good towel matters. I have. In air full of humidity, where everything dries slowly, Madake always stayed light, fresh and ready for the next use.
They've survived teenagers, two dogs and monsoons. Not one ever started to smell damp, and they're all still soft.
Today I import them directly from the south of India, through Shiuli Artisan DOO.

Frequently asked questions
How do I wash a Madake towel?
Wash it in the machine, without fabric softener, because softener reduces absorbency. This goes for all the towels you use. Some of our customers even wash them at 95°C. I recommend 60°C max. It dries quickly.
Is it really that thin? I don't think it will absorb.
It looks too delicate to do such a serious job. Yet it soaks up everything in its path.
How do I return it if it’s not for me?
You have 30 days to try it. If you change your mind, send it back and we’ll refund you.
